After your initial channel setup (creating sections, adding a welcome message, defining viewer goals, adding sections and videos), you can take advantage of the various customization options channels offer:

Hero Carousel
The banner of your channel can be customized to include still image posters, GIFs, and even short preview clips that include sound.
To add new images or videos to your hero carousel:
Add a New Frame – Click the Plus (+) Button at the bottom of the hero section to insert a new carousel frame.
Choose Your Media – Within each frame, you can upload images, videos, or GIFs to showcase your content.
Add Text Details – On the left side of the hero frame, include a title, subtitle, and/or description to give context to your visuals.
Brand It – In the top left corner of each frame, you can add your brand logo for consistent visual identity.
Customize Settings – Click the Settings button in the bottom right corner of a frame to open the pop-up menu. From here, you can:
Add desktop and mobile preview videos that play on hover.
Upload posters.
Link the frame to an existing video in your channel.
Set the duration each carousel image or video will appear.
You can repeat this process to create as many carousel items as you’d like—giving you the freedom to highlight multiple pieces of content in a visually compelling way.
Note that images must be added for both Desktop and Mobile. Lumiere will not automatically carry over / reformat one image for both aspect ratios.
Video Tile Display
You can adjust video tiles on a section-by-section basis. Customizable options include:
Layout
Order
Video Preview (Toggle)
Size
Shape
Layout
Each section in your channel can display as a carousel (horizontal scrolling) or a grid (rows of videos).
Order
Drag and drop videos within a section to set their order. Viewers will see them in the order you set, unless you toggle on Random under Display Options > Sort By > Random.
Video Preview (Toggle)
Video Preview controls how tiles behave when viewers hover over them:
Toggled on: Tiles expand and show a short preview of the content.
Toggled off: Tiles just display the video title on hover.
Size & Shape
Video Tiles in each section can be modified in size and in shape.
Size options include:
Small
Medium
Large
Shape Options include:
Landscape - 16:9
Square - 1:1
Circle - 1:1
Portrait - 3:4
Portrait - 2:3
While these shape and size settings apply to all the videos within a section, each section within your channel can vary in its video tile orientation.
Channel Colors
You can update your channel's background color and button styling to match your brand.
To update your channel's background color:
Go to your channel setup.
Open Channel Settings.
In the left-side panel, click Appearance > Background Color.
To update the primary button color and shape:
Go to your channel setup.
Open Channel Settings.
In the left-side panel, click Appearance > Primary Button.
Video Posters & Thumbnails
Videos in your channel can display either their set thumbnail or a custom poster you upload.
To set a thumbnail or upload a poster:
Click the video tile of the video you want to edit to enter its setup.
