Sharing Your Video with an Audience

Once your video is set up, you can either copy the provided HTML code or video URL to share with your audience.

Update Video Status

Before sending out your video URL or embedding your video into a site, you need to update your video status to "Live" to allow new data to be collected.

To set your video to live:

  1. Navigate to your video's setup page

  2. In the top-right corner, click the purple "Publish" button

    or

    in the top-left corner, click on the status of your video and select "Live" from the drop down menu

  3. Your video will be set to Live status, allowing your viewers to watch and submit their reactions

Video URL sharing

Under ‘Invite Viewers’, you can copy your Lumiere Video URL and easily share it with your audience. Simply copy the provided link and paste it into an email, text message, survey hosting platform, or social post.

The link can also be appended with custom variables, such as demographic information or survey responses, for filtering and analysis purposes later on.

HTML Embedding

Under ‘Invite Viewers’, you can copy your Lumiere Video's HTML to be embedded into a web page. This allows you to seamlessly integrate the video and functionality within your existing web presence. Embedding the activity ensures a cohesive user experience and encourages viewer engagement without requiring them to navigate to a separate link or web page.

Using HTML

To embed the provided HTML code into your native website and share your Lumiere video link with your audience, you can follow these step-by-step instructions:

  1. Copy the HTML code provided by Lumiere for your video link.

  2. Log in to your website's content management system (CMS) or website editor.

  3. Navigate to the page or section where you want to embed the video.

  4. Switch to the HTML or "code view" mode of your CMS or editor. This mode allows you to directly edit the HTML markup of your website.

  5. Find the appropriate location within the HTML code where you want to embed the video.

  6. Paste the copied HTML code from Lumiere into the desired location.

  7. Save or publish the changes to your website.

  8. Visit the page on your website where you embedded the HTML code to confirm that the video is displaying correctly.
