What are video statuses?
There are three stages of video status:
Statuses do a few important things for you:
Keep your videos organized, so you can quickly tell which ones are still being set up, which are collecting data, and which have already been analyzed.
Protect your data integrity by preventing new data from being collected before setup is complete or after data collection has ended β so your insights dashboard always reflects accurate, unchanged data.
Keep your data secure by making it harder to accidentally tweak video setup while data is being collected.
Changing Video Statuses
To update the status of a single video:
Open the video from your workspace.
Navigate to the status menu in the top-left corner.
Open the dropdown menu and select the new status.
To bulk-edit multiple videos at once:
Go to the workspace folder where your videos live.
Multi-select the videos you want to update.
From the bulk-edit menu at the bottom, select Update Status.
β
Draft Status
New videos in your workspace are automatically set to Draft.
Draft means the video is still being set up and isn't ready for data collection. The viewer-facing links won't work yet, which keeps your data secure.
Clicking a Draft video from your workspace takes you straight to Setup..
Live status
From Draft, hit the Publish button in the top-right corner of video setup to take your video Live.
Live videos are open and collecting new data.
Clicking a Live video from your workspace takes you straight to the Share page.
Closed status
Closed videos stop saving new viewer data to the insights dashboard, keeping your existing data safe and unchanged.
