Acceptable File Formats
Lumiere accepts nearly every type of video file format you'd want to throw at it:
.mov, .mpeg, .mpg, .ffmpeg, .avi, .flv, .fv4, .mp4, .m4v, .asf, .wmv, .vob, .mod, .3gp, .3gpp, .mkv, .divx, .xvid, .webm, and .quicktime.
Using the Add New Button
To upload a video from your desktop:
Click the + Add New button in the upper-right corner of your main workspace.
Select your video file.
Drag and Drop
For a quicker option, drag a video from your files and drop it into your main workspace. The video will upload into whichever folder you're currently in.
Folders
Lumiere's folder structure works a lot like Mac iOS or Windows. You'll create parent folders that branch into child folders to keep everything organized.
Creating a new parent folder
Click the + button in the left-side navigation panel.
A new Untitled folder will appear in the panel — rename it and you're set.
Creating a nested folder
Navigate to the parent folder where you want the new folder to live.
Click the + Add New button in the top right corner of the main workspace.
Folder Actions
Hover over a folder and click the ⋮ Options icon to open the actions menu. From there, you can:
Rename the folder
Move it to a new location
Add to Favorites
Delete the folder and everything inside it
Need to make changes to several folders at once? Multi-select items to bulk edit.
